Upcoming Anne Hathaway movie based on a novel with explicit and steamy scenes
Anne Hathaway has been cast in Verity based on the novel by Colleen Hoover.
This film particularly should be on everyone's radar because, one, Anne Hathaway is in the movie, and two, the novel this movie is based on contains explicit, steamy scenes.
The story follows Lowen Ashleigh, a struggling writer who is on the brink of financial ruin when she accepts the job offer of a lifetime. Jeremy Crawford, husband of bestselling thriller author Verity Crawford (Hathaway), has hired Ashleigh to complete the remaining books in a successful series that his wife is unable to finish after a mysterious accident. Upon arrival at the lavish Crawford estate, Ashleigh slowly learns that things are not exactly as they seem with the discovery of a secret, unfinished manuscript that may divulge chilling admissions about the family’s past. As Lowen ingratiates herself with Jeremy and his young son, Crew, she must discern if Verity’s writings are merely lurid works of fiction or an ominous warning by a deranged psychopath.
The novel includes steamy and intense scenes, particularly focusing on the dynamics between Verity and Jeremy, as well as the growing tension between Lowen and Jeremy. These scenes are integral to the plot, as they help to build the relationships and add to the unsettling, intimate atmosphere of the story, so we can be sure that these will be adapted in the movie, but I am worried about how ready Anne Hathaway is to film explicit scenes that are emotional and physical.
Only time will tell how much she is going to do it at 42 years of age.
Currently the film is in early stages.
