Margaret Qualley and Aubrey Plaza have sweaty sex in Honey Don't (Read Sexual Scenes Review)
Honey Don't! premiered at Cannes and it’s said to be better than Drive-Away Dolls, which was the debut of Ethan Coen’s lesbian trilogy. Honey Don’t is the second one, and the cast goes all out in this one. Unlike the first movie, this second anthology film has more sex, more beautiful shots, and an overall better plot. But hey—I’m just comparing it to Drive-Away Dolls. If you compare it to any other movie, this one isn’t that good.
With a runtime of 93 minutes, it’s 9 minutes longer than the first. But with the number of subplots in this, the movie actually feels shorter. Honestly, it should’ve been at least two hours.
Plot:
Okay, so the movie follows Honey (Margaret Qualley) as she tries to solve the case of a young woman found murdered in the back of a car. It's tied to Chris Evans' sex cult/organization where he preaches... and also fucks.
He's also involved in drug smuggling and cracks some silly jokes along the way. Honey meets her lover M.G., played by Aubrey Plaza. They have sex and start working the case—until Honey’s niece goes missing and things between them turn sour.
Her niece has a boyfriend that Honey doesn’t like, because he’s a Trump supporter. Honey even puts a bumper sticker on her car that says: “I have a vagina and I vote.” (Honestly, I didn’t expect this movie to go there with political commentary.)
There’s also a subplot with her sister, but that doesn’t get fully explored.
Now let’s talk about the main thing—the sex and nudity:
We get our first nude scene right at the start. Lera Abova, who works with Chris Evans’ character “Priest Dean,” approaches the car, removes a ring from the dead girl’s hand, strips naked, and goes for a little swim in the nearby lake.
