Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried have been cast in 'The Housemaid' movie, which is based on Freida McFadden's book 'The Housemaid's Secret.'.

This news broke out in October, and it's not new, but I want to discuss and tell you what you can expect from this movie. I know in any movie and TV series Sydney Sweeney is a part of, people automatically expect sexual content in that, but that might not be the case with 'The Housemaid,' and here's why:

 

In The Housemaid book, the center focus is on psychological thriller instead of sex; while there are some mentions of personal relationships, it is not what you think.

I know many of you will want Sydney and Amanda to get personal in this, but this is not what this film is about.

Here's the plot: 

The story revolves around Millie Calloway (Sydney), a young woman down on her luck, who accepts a job as a live-in housemaid for the wealthy Winchester family. From the outset, the Winchester home seems perfect, but as Millie begins her duties, strange occurrences unfold. The matriarch, Nina Winchester, acts erratically, and dark secrets about the family start to surface.

Millie becomes entangled in the Winchesters’ lives, discovering that appearances can be deceiving. As tensions rise, Millie must navigate a web of lies and deceit, uncovering shocking truths about her employers—and herself.

 

But there's hope! We all know Hollywood doesn't really adapt anything 100%, and one of the reasons they might have cast Sydney Sweeney is because of the sex appeal she has; the makers of the film might twist the story and could add some sexual scenes that are not in the book. Of course, we'll only find that out once the film finishes and we get some teasers or trailers.
