Nosferatu Spoilers | Full Plot Details | Lily-Rose Depp, Nicholas Hoult, Bill Skarsgård

Nosferatu has been in everyone's mind for a few months now; this movie is described as the revival of the vampire gothic genre. Many have claimed that this film is really scary, but I will tell you about that in a minute.

Plot:

The story begins in the fictional German seaport of Wisborg, where estate agent Knock sends Thomas Hutter (played by Nicholas Hoult) to Transylvania to sell a decrepit manor to the reclusive Count Orlok (Bill Skarsgård). Thomas leaves behind his wife, Ellen (Lily-Rose Depp), who becomes increasingly distressed with strange nightmares and convulsions as Thomas journeys to Orlok's castle.

Ellen has a past connection with Orlok; as a child, she inadvertently awoke him from his "eternal slumber," creating a psychic bond. This bond intensifies after her marriage to Thomas. Orlok becomes obsessed with Ellen, deciding to move to Wisborg to be near her.

Orlok travels to Wisborg, bringing with him a plague via rats. The town begins to suffer from this disease, creating an atmosphere of dread and decay.

Ellen, learning from old texts that a "sinless maiden" can defeat a vampire by sacrificing herself, decides to use this knowledge. She seduces Orlok, keeping him by her side until sunrise. In a final act, she opens the window, allowing sunlight to enter, which ultimately burns Orlok to death.

After Orlok's death, the plague miraculously disappears, and the town is saved. The movie ends with the image of Orlok dead on top of Ellen in bed, symbolizing her sacrifice and the end of the vampire's terror.

Sex and Nudity:

While this movie has nudity, it's extremely brief and barely visible due to the dark lighting. Not graphic at all. But we do see some scenes of Count Orloc that are decent.

There are two sex scenes present in the film. During both sex scenes, sound effects are heard to imply sexual penetration.

This movie is very dark in tone, with bad lighting and dark corners; it uses them well to hide the actors bodies. Even in the final moments of the film when Ellen seduces the vampire, we barely see anything good.

In my opinion, this movie was way too hyped; it delivers very little, and it's not even scary.
