Italian film 'Parthenope' (2024) Review—Disappointing is a small word


Italian film Parthenope, which captivated thousands of people online who watched the trailer, because of beautiful actress Celeste Dalla Porta isn't so beautiful or raunchy as people thought.

The film is boring, and slow and it shouldn't have a 2 hour runtime. The shots are beautiful and entire time my eyes were on 'Celeste Dalla Porta', and why not, i was watching the film just for her and so many people actually went to cinema just to see her.
I can't tell about anyone else, but I am disappointed.

Let me tell you about the plot a little bit, and then we go to the good part:

So, "Parthenope" is this cool coming-of-age story set in the '50s in Naples. It's about this girl, Parthenope, who's basically the embodiment of the city - beautiful, mysterious, and full of life. She grows up loving the sun, the culture, and all the colorful characters around her.

She's not just a pretty face; she's got brains and studies anthropology, but her real lessons come from living in Naples. She meets interesting folks, like this famous American writer who's seen better days, and together they navigate the ups and downs of life.

The movie's all about her journey to find happiness, love, and understanding in a city that's as enchanting as it is challenging. It's directed by Paolo Sorrentino, so expect some stunning visuals and poetic moments. Parthenope's story is about growth, love, and the complexities of being human, set against the backdrop of one of Italy's most vibrant cities.

Sex and Nudity:

For those who want to watch this film to see some good shots of the main actress, 'Celeste Dalla Porta,' you will be disappointed. She doesn't have a nude scene in this film; the most we got from her is when she drops her towel, hiding her chest with her hand, and runs inside the house; it was just for 3 seconds.
We see her in a bikini in a large part of the film and in some sexy dresses; aside from that, there's nothing from her.
At around 1 hour and 8 minutes, we see a good s*x scene in which a man and woman demonstrate s*x while 20-something people were watching them. It was a short scene, but I wish I was Celeste Dalla Porta.

And that's this; there's nothing else.

Oh, how can I forget this?

This is not so credible, but some people are saying that Adria Arjona has n*de scenes in Los Frikis, which will release in the USA on December 25. I got some good updates in today's post: (1) ‘BEEF’ season 2 has begun filming. Starring Charles Melton, Oscar Isaac, Cailee Spaeny, Carey Mulligan, Yuh-Jung Youn, and Song Kang-Ho. Do not have high hopes for this; season 1 didn't have any notable n*de or s*x scenes. Nosferatu has been in everyone's mind for a few months now; this movie is described as the revival of the vampire gothic genre.
